The municipalities of Vörå and Maxmo have joined forces and from January 1st 2007 there has been one common municipality by the name of Vörå-Maxmo. The new municipality provides its inhabitants and visitors a whole new living space and a variety of services.

In winter time you can ski in the modern skiing centrum of Vörå-Maxmo. During summer there is a variety of activities in Vörå-Maxmo; swimming, riding a horse, bowling, minigolf and hiking.

Vörå-Maxmo has music schools, singing choirs, museum associations, folk-dance groups, and an art club. Youth societies maintain an amateur theater, especially in summer time. Popular events are organised throughout the year.

In Vörå-Maxmo you can be a part of living history. See and explore, how people lived 100 years ago. You can familiarize yourself with many ancient findings of the area. Popular sights of Vörå-Maxmo are for example the Ehrs park, the Vörå Church and the mansion of Tottesund.
